WHY WE'RE COMPELLED TO HELP
About 10 years ago, shortly after the last great recession, an idea originated:
"That middle-class individuals & families deserve a safety net."

It's not a new concept, but it's become a politically complicated one. Given the chance, we believe Americans want to help. So we're cutting through the bureaucracy and simplifying the process.

Here's how we're different...

HOW IT WORKS
We've simplified the process.
No extravagant operating budgets. No million dollar salaries. No money is being pooled.
RECEIVE
Families on the waiting list (when their turn arrives) will receive funds within 48 hours of allocation and notification. Each family is eligible to receive financial assistance once per year.
We're not a nonprofit (yet). But we're functioning as one.
100% OF YOUR DONATION WILL GO STRAIGHT TO MIDDLE CLASS FAMILIES WHO NEED IMMEDIATE FINANCIAL RELIEF.
We're not a nonprofit (yet).
But we're functioning as one.
100% OF YOUR DONATION WILL GO STRAIGHT TO MIDDLE CLASS FAMILIES WHO NEED IMMEDIATE FINANCIAL RELIEF.
Donate with Confidence. We pledge to be a service and values guided solution for the people, by the people.
Our operational budgets will remain lean, and no individual's salary will exceed $150,000 per annum.
Donated funds won't sit idly in a pool, accruing. They belong in the hands of those in dire need, providing immediate relief.
VALUES BASED CHARITY
We're currently registered as an L.L.C. And actively working towards obtaining nonprofit status, but Wisconsin state policies present limitations at the moment. Nonetheless, we are operating with the spirit of a nonprofit and making a steadfast promise that the initial $100,000 raised through crowdfunding will be channeled directly to those in need - every cent!
Once we attain our goal, which is to assist 100 families with $1,000 each, our intention is not to utilize crowdfunding to award ourselves hefty six-figure salaries. That's not the ethos of Middle Class Aid.

Therefore, we've made the following additional commitments:
-
100% of all our donations will be distributed as grants.
-
Our operational budget will remain modest.
-
Personal salaries will not exceed $150,000.

Middle Class Stats
Let's get technical, in Weberian socioeconomic terms, the middle class is the broad group of people in contemporary society who fall socio-economically between the working class and upper class. The common measures of what constitutes the middle class vary significantly. However, PEW suggests the range of middle- class incomes spans from about $47,000 to $142,000. So MCA uses those salary numbers as our current parameters.
